“Experience never gets old.”

In the 2015 film The Intern, Robert De Niro plays Ben Whittaker–a retiree who finds that, well, retirement isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.  At 70 years of age he applies for a new position–to intern at an up-and-coming fashion company, ran by Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway).

The Intern is, of course, a comedy, but actors like De Niro and Hathaway ensure that the film brings those heartwarming moments as well.

The film tackles a variety of issues–age, gender, what it means to “have it all”–with a subtlety that still promises big laughs.
