Meet the Staff: Heidi, Social Media and Adult Programming Coordinator

Meet Heidi Wiechert, who recently took up the mantle of Social Media and Adult Programming Director for O’Fallon Public Library of O’Fallon, IL.

Information from Heidi’s Video

Heidi previously worked at the library in reference (adult services) from March 2012-December 2016.
- In between then and now, she was a journalist and helped co-found a YouTube channel.
Her favorite genres are fantasy, science fiction and non-fiction.
Her favorite authors are Lev Grossman, Jo Walton, and Neil Gaiman.
Heidi is an O’Fallon Township High School (OTHS) class of 2000 alumni.
- Her daughter is the fifth generation of her family to attend OTHS.
She graduated from Valparaiso University, Indiana, with a degree in political science and a minor in the classics.
Her favorite classical author is Catullus.

Library Information

O’Fallon Public Library Youth Services has a ‘Take and Make‘ Cart every Thursday that has free crafts for children.
- The ‘Take and Make’ Cart was paid for by Friends of the O’Fallon Public Library.
  - The Friends of the O’Fallon Public Library Mega Book Sale is October 28-November 1, 2021.
