ofallon-weeklyThis week’s O’Fallon Weekly column “O’Fallon Library News & Notes” reminds readers of some of our regular events such as the Fun and Furry program for kids to read to the delightful service dogs.  Library Director Molly Scanlan also invites community members to other ongoing wellness programs such as yoga, t’ai chi, or fusion fit.  Check out our calendar for the complete list.

Special events coming soon include a visit from local author, B.B. Swann who will discuss1 Breaking her book Breaking the Bro Code Saturday, August 19, at 2 PM.

Publisher’s Summary: It’s the 80’s. Hair is big, styles are bitchin, and Molly Mason must run for her life. Her plan is simple; race fast enough to get a cross country scholarship. Hayden Bishop has a different idea; convince Molly, his best friend’s girlfriend, that he can treat her better. Soon, Hayden and Molly find themselves entangled in a relationship with more twists and turns than a Rubik’s Cube. Friends interfere. Lies are born. Molly’s scholarship is put in jeopardy and Hayden’s chance to win her is slipping away. Only the truth will save them, if they can both find it in time.

You don’t want to miss viewing the solar eclipse on August 21st.  Molly invites you to bring a blanket and join us on the library lawn.   She said we will have moon pies and glasses available for safe viewing.
