In case you missed the latest O’Fallon Library News and Notes, you can check it out in ofallon-weeklythe O’Fallon Weekly.  In this issue, Youth Services Manager, Teri Rankin, recommends reads to match the season of the moment.  If we’re having a wintery day, she said we have books about ice fishing and snowflakes.  And for those enjoying the lengthening days and occasional warmer weather, we have books to prepare for gardening.

It’s also a great month to attend one of our many activities for young people.  For example:

  • Monday, Feb 13, a professional actor (ACTivist) will make  the Civil Rights Movement in St. Louis movement in St. Louis come to life for students grade 5 and up. Click here to register or call (618) 632-3783.
  • Want some Pokemon Fun? Register here for one of two sessions of “Pokemon Extravaganza!” Saturday, Feb 25, either 10:30 AM or 1:30 PM. The fun events will include games, crafts, and adventure.

But it’s not just fun and games for young people.  Adults can enjoy a wide variety of activities.

  • If you’re over the age of 21, relax and enjoy an evening of live music, food, and drinks with musician Budd Summers, Friday, Feb 10 6:30-8 PM.  No registration required, but no entry after 7 PM.  Be there or be square!
  • And for those who are needing a workout, register for  Fusion Fit – a combination of Fitness, Pilates, Yoga, and Mindful Practices. This class is presented at select times by ACE Certified Personal Trainer Ryan Yoch.  FYI – bring your own yoga mat and towel.

These are just a few of the many events you can enjoy at your O’Fallon Public Library. Check out our full calendar here.
