Diary of a Deskless Librarian: Remodel- Day 5,647 (kidding)
Here’s a bunch of things that are going on around here. Enjoy!
Trick or Treat
Wear your costume and Trick or Treat at the library! We will have candy and other small (non food) treats available on October 29th, 30th, and 31st. Literary characters are encouraged but not required.
Entryway Work
Due to construction, on Wednesday, Oct. 28th from 3:30 pm until closing, please use the Meeting Room door to enter and exit the Library. The construction workers are putting in the new entrance flooring. Thanks for your patience!
Winter Weather
Just a reminder: the Library may close due to severe inclement weather or other unforeseen emergencies. Closing announcements will be made on the Library’s homepage, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
Don’t worry about returning your items when the weather is poor. Our staff will always make accommodations for those who can’t make it to the library for weather related reasons.
Zoo Packs: Library Book Bags
New from the Children Librarians: Zoo Packs! These bags for your 1-3 year old contain items such as books, rhyme/song sheets, rhythm instruments, flashlights, and an issue of Scholastic’s My Big World with Clifford to keep! The packs, which can be checked out for up to 3 weeks, are perfect for sharing the joy of language with your busy little bee.
Personalized Recommendations
Don’t know what to read or watch next? Have you tried out the new Reader’s Advisory survey? Fill out this form online and one of our librarians will get back to you with a list of books, audio books, and films recommended just for you from your likes and dislikes! Save time, save money, and borrow a bunch of stuff that you’ll love.
As always, we’ve got your back here at the library. See you soon…
