The History Portal Display at O’Fallon Public Library has changed from background about the founder of O’Fallon to one of the city’s most iconic buildings, 101 West State Street.

Learn about the construction of the building as a bank to its time as a library and on to the museum it is today!

The display is a partnership between the library and the O’Fallon Historical Society. It is a gateway to the people, places and events of the O’Fallon area’s past. Utilizing QR code technology, visitors to the library can experience the past not only through the display but also through source documents, websites and more.

If your curiosity is peaked by the display, please visit the O’Fallon Historical Society Museum at 101 West State Street. It is home to thousands of items of local history.
