Visitors to the O’Fallon Public Library may notice a new display when they take a hard left from the elevator on the second floor. It is a lovely glass case with a selection of various ‘things’ that can be borrowed from the library. Our librarians have nicknamed it, “The Library of Things.”

The Library of Things includes telescopes, board games, a CD player, wifi hot spots, Rokus and more. The collection is still in development with further additions on the horizon.

If you want in on the awesomeness of the Library of Things, ask one of our friendly librarians about it or come to the second floor and take a look for yourself.

Speaking of awesomeness, the Friends of the Library Mega-Book sale begins this Thursday (October 28, 2021) and runs until Monday.

For the first two days, the Friends are having a ‘box’ sale. Fill up a box with your must-have books for only $20.

Shop from a wide collection of books, DVDs, CDs and so much more.  The sale will have something for every age group, and nearly every subject imaginable. New items will be put out all day, every day of the sale.

Hard cover books, non-mass market paperbacks, dvds and audiobooks are only $1. CD’s and mass market paperbacks are 50 cents. Kids bags are $3. Specially priced items will be available as marked.

The book sale accepts credit cards, cash and checks. All proceeds benefit the library, which is a place for everyone to discover, grow, play and learn.

We’ll see you soon!
