We are headed for the end of 2019. Soon we will all be making our New Year’s resolutions (well some of us will). Since we are so close, there is no better time than the present to feature some books that will help you get a head start on your 2020 goals. Remember- anytime is a good time for a fresh start.
First, I highly recommend You Are a Badass Every Day by Jen Sincero. This is a companion to her best-selling book You Are a Badass. This small book is filled with 100 various affirmations, meditations, perspective shifts, and much more. This is a valuable way to keep yourself focused and motivated while working on your aspirations.
If you want to focus on eating nourishing meals, then you cannot go wrong with Healthier Together by Liz Moody. This book does not just focus on clean eating, but also on connecting with people through food. One of the recipes I would recommend trying is the Mexican Street Corn & Quinoa Bowl on page 87. This meal is easy to prepare and is lightly sweet with a punch of salty citrus flavor.
We all have a business idea ( I know I do). Pick up Nolo’s Legal Guide for Starting and Running a Small Business. This book is a perfect place to begin looking at starting a small business. This is the 16th edition published in 2019 so it has all the current forms and tax advice. A handy checklist for starting a small business can be found in the appendix. What I enjoyed about this book is that it is extremely informative without being boring.
So here’s to ending 2019 focused on new goals!
