In the most recent column in the O’Fallon Weekly, Library Director, Molly Scanlan, and Adult Services Manager, Ryan Johnson share the many resources we enjoy here at the library. In addition to the books and DVDs, we provide friendly technology assistance when needed.
Some of our patrons come for help building resumes and posting them online. In addition, we have tools you can access from home through our website with your O’Fallon library card Click on the tab “For You,” then select “Job Seekers” to find a variety of services that are helpful to those looking for a new job or wanting to improve or add new skills.
We also provide a place, The Hub, just for teens. There is a wall-size white board that students use for study. In the article, there are pictures of O’Fallon HS students working as a group to solve physics problems.
The point is, our library has changed with the times. We still treasure our books and have quiet spaces to read or study, but we also host activities such as yoga, zumba, and educational presentations. Come in get a cup of coffee and check out a Roku or Kindle, and look at all the events we’ve planned for children, tweens, teens, and adults. Or, check out our calendar.
