read for the winSummer is in full swing:  the kids are out of school, the temperatures are nearing the hundreds, and the library is offering dozens of ways to keep you and your child active and reading during the break.

This year’s theme is Read for the Win, open to kids aged 3 and up.  If you haven’t registered yet, you can here.

After you register, be sure to pick up a reading log from the children’s librarian.  Here you can record your child’s reading progress, receiving small prizes each week.  At the conclusion of the six week period, you can turn in the log and select a new book and several other small prizes.  Last day to turn them in is July 31.

Of course, the summer program doesn’t end there.  We have many events from jugglers to concerts, from competitions to reading programs.  Check our master calendar for dates and more information on the events.

If you have any questions, feel free to stop by or give us a call.  Also be on the lookout for adult and teen programs!
