Equipping Parents as Teachers, February 2016

reading literacy 2

We are excited to bring you another great program, Getting Ready to Read: Filling the Literacy Toolbox.  This series of classes is targeted at parents and caregivers, with the goal of helping you help your kids with early literacy skills.

Children need to learn certain skills before they are ready to read and parents and caregivers are the first and best teachers. Come learn playful and hands-on tips and strategies that you can use with toddlers and preschoolers to help set them on a successful track for being a strong reader. This is a four part series. Each one hour session will be filled with literacy tips and resources for you to make and take-home to use with your kids. Sign up for individual sessions or the whole series!

  • February 13 – Build a Foundation for Literacy Growth
  • March 12 – Reading Rules! The Best Measure of Success
