Get comfy and meet our spotlighted staff member!

Meet Traci, OFPL’s wonderful Administrative Assistant! With a love for coffee, fiction, and the occasional weekend getaway, Traci brings a perfect mix of energy and organization to the heart of the library. She’s incredibly funny and fun to be around, always ready with a quick laugh or a clever remark that brightens everyone’s day. While she thrives on the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the library running smoothly, it’s the friendly chats with coworkers and longtime patrons that truly make her smile. Read on to get to know more about Traci—and maybe even discover a shared love for Cardinals baseball or cozy eBooks!

Coffee or tea? Coffee

Morning person or night owl? Neither anymore.  I want to go to bed early and sleep for days. Ha!

Fiction or nonfiction? Fiction

eBook or paperback? eBook

What’s your favorite part of working at OFPL? I really enjoy the behind-the-scenes work that comes with being an Administrative Assistant—it keeps me busy and organized, which I love – but what truly makes my day are the conversations with my coworkers and the familiar faces of longtime patrons. There’s a real sense of community here that makes OFPL feel like home.

If given the choice, would you prefer to spend a day with your favorite author or your favorite fictional character, and who would that author or character be? This one took some thought, but I think spending a day with Stephen King would be fascinating. I’d love to pick his brain and try to figure out how his mind works—how does someone come up with stories that are so chilling, creative, and compelling all at once?

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be? I’d love to instantly master drawing and art skills. There’s something magical about being able to bring ideas to life on paper, and I think it would be amazing to express myself creatively in that way!

What’s your go-to activity or hobby when you’re not at the library? I love taking day or weekend trips to explore new places. And of course, nothing beats catching a Cardinals game—there’s just something about the energy of the crowd and the excitement of the game!

Thank you for joining us in Owlfred’s Corner! We hope you enjoyed getting to know Traci and discovering the unique talents and interests she brings to OFPL. Stay tuned for next month’s feature as we continue to highlight the amazing people who make our library such a welcoming and inspiring place. See you next time!
