Meet one of O’Fallon Public Library’s newest circulation assistants: Nikki!
What jobs did you have before coming to the library?
I worked at a different Public Library for many years. For very short times I worked at a Steak ‘n Shake and a call center that is currently closed called Convergys. I do art commissions as a side job.
What are your favorite books or movies?
I love all things fantasy, especially high fantasy and/or sci – fi. I love how much creativity the genres give, how much world building there can be.
I love the book, “Arthas,” that explores the lore of the Lich King from the game World of Warcraft.
I also enjoy the book, “Death Troopers.” What is not cool about zombies in a Star Wars setting?
As far as movies go I am quite partial to the Captain America movies and a lot of the old fantasy movies I watched with my dad in my youth like “the Dark Crystal” and “the Never Ending Story.”
What do you love most about libraries?
I love how much libraries bring to a community. The access to so many books, movies, and other resources. It allows all walks of life to gain access to valuable things that they may not get to otherwise.
Plus, they have amazing little portals to other worlds for the imagination to run wild!
